The attempts on destabilising the state of Pakistan are increasing in their ferocity, and the downfall of Imran Khan’s government is forecast by all. The failure of the three pillars of the State, the Judiciary, the politicians and finally the Army is being planned. This has been encouraged by the enemies of Pakistan which would include the Indians and the US who have decided that they would prefer a broken Pakistan – the ultimate threat is by Zardari and the Baluch. Pakistan Na Khappe.

The villain of the piece is painted as the Pakistan Army. This villain is the target of all the enemies of Pakistan, Including the US which bristles at the inability to exercise its control over the Pakistan Army. Imran Khan had also openly defied the Americans by denying them the bases in Pakistan from which they can launch their attacks on the Taliban. Instead of creating an era of stability and progress they insist on complete obedience. Controlled by an IMF that manages economic progress according to its political direction.

The banana wars and the name ‘banana republics’ was coined when the 20th century saw the Middle East kingdoms destroyed on fabricated lies and the true wishes of the Pentagon that were cleverly disguised by an all-powerful media. The “weapons of mass destruction”, an expression coined by the Pentagon and marketed brilliantly by Madison Avenue destroyed a functioning Iraq causing it to regress fifty years. After causing a loss of 280 billion dollars to the Iraqi people, they went on to blow a trillion dollars in their adventure in Afghanistan.

Having to start again from scratch, the Iraqis were a bloodthirsty lot even though they were the most advanced in the Arab people giving the world science and mathematical theorems on which present day mathematics is based. However, the brilliance of a people can only show progress if allowed the space and a peaceful atmosphere. Iraq has been denied this opportunity. Similarly, Pakistan has been led through the control of robber families to create a culture of corruption and all the institutions so painstakingly transplanted from the Britain were destroyed.

Today even the Supreme Court that was savagely attacked by a political party went on to rule the country. This could not have happened without the connivance of the US and UK. The two most vocal supporters of democracy and judicial freedom. They are renowned for their support of democracy and justice. Yet they have given refuge to a person convicted of corruption and serving a sentence. The British have over the years educated many world leaders in British law and its importance in governance. In this instance, they are giving refuge to a convicted felon. A classic tale of hypocrisy. The judges who have given leave to an absconder should examine their own conscience.

The US is making a big mistake in its opposing Imran’s attempts at establishing an orderly and legal government. In their haste to remove Imran Khan for opposing their hegemony over the region they overlook the fact that they were defeated by an under equipped Taliban, who fought the mighty US for twenty years with nothing to fight for but their land. Still, the US signed a humiliating truce in Qatar under the glare of the world’s media, trying to create the impression that we were witnessing an American victor. Before the ink on the truce had dried the US turned to Pakistan asking for bases from which they could launch attacks on Kabul. After Imran’s resounding “Absolutely Not” the gremlins of Washington decided to teach the Khan a lesson in obedience. The anti-Imran Khan support was turned up and the absconder Nawaz started his harangue from the safety of Park Lane. The daughter raised her shrill voice, and the list multiplied. All aimed at teaching obedience to the Khan.

The American people do not realize that the 21st century is a different time. These are not banana republics or even a Saddam Hussein, the chessboard is now a different layout. The Russians maybe out gunned but the baton has been passed to the ubiquitous Chinese. They now with their staggering advances in science possess the economic muscle to make their presence felt. Whereas the Americans are over extended and their dollar is not worth the paper it is printed on. It may find it’s true value go into free fall. The dollar is so beyond its worth that a George Soros is not needed to tip the scales. The very freedom of the economy so long espoused by the US will see its currency and its economy crumble. The Pakistan Army must realize that the future of Pakistan is tied inexorably to the survival of the Khan as PM.

Consider the removal of the Khan and the reappearance of Nawaz Sharif on the scene with an ultra-corrupt government to follow. In the economic collapse, fuelled by the IMF and Ishaq Dar dumping rupees in the market, the Pakistani would face a dollar at Rs 300 and petrol at Rs 300 a litre. Life in Pakistan would be unliveable. The collapse of all systems would ensue. The ultra-rich would be protected by their personal police. While marauding crowds would scour the streets in search of victims. The Taliban would step into a country ripe for governance, one with the strictness that only an Islamic Taliban can offer and implement. With the Taliban stepping in, the US would have to deal with the devil of its own creation.

The UAE would see its newly found Israeli protectors outnumbered, and forced to retreat to the US mainland. The very thought of a Taliban nuclear tipped Pakistan is beyond a worst-case scenario. Modi will seem a child compared to the menace of a Taliban majority on the rampage. The US and UK should rethink their designs on the neighbourhood. China meanwhile will sit back and watch the whole region fall into its lap without a shot being fired by them or at them. The Chinese are known for their patience and will revel at the impetuous white man’s folly. It is time for Bajwa to put aside his personal ambitions and join Imran Khan. General Bajwa should not heed the whispers of the conspirators using a minus one formula. The paladins like the serpents of old have not lost skill with lies. Bajwa should recognize this. The future of Pakistan is at stake. The region will follow.
