The British, while leaving the sub-continent purposefully created many disputes to ensure tensions between Pakistan and India and also to punish the Muslims of the Sub-Continent. Among the issues, the most problematic and the most dangerous was the issue of Kashmir. It was deliberately done by the British to maintain their control over the region long after they have left.
Following their divide and rule policy, the British ensured that the two nations had a long-lasting dispute that would fuel their animosity against each other, hence hindering the region’s progress. The British promote a self-image of righteousness, civilization, and honor, but in reality, their tyranny knows no bounds. Hindus, during British colonization, served the British well and eagerly adopted their methods along with their ways and practices. I
N their eagerness to become the best slaves, the Hindus also learned ways to practice their deep-rooted tyrannical nature on the minorities of the sub-continent. This extreme Hindu nature is visible in their treatment of Muslims and other minorities in India, the atrocities against the Muslims of Kashmir have been going on ever since 1947 and the world has witnessed India take the most inhumane steps against the Muslims of Kashmir.
The use of banned weapons against the unarmed protestors of Kashmir is a norm in the valley. Kashmiri women are raped and mistreated every day but apparently, the women of Kashmir are not worthy of human rights in the hearts and minds of the west and the rest of the world. The world is silently watching all these crimes. None of the women’s rights NGOs conduct mass protests in favor of Kashmiri women neither do the human rights activists raise their voices against the human rights violations taking place in Kashmir, they just watch silently but the west never forget to talk about Afghan woman where after USSR, USA and the west has been defeated in the year 2021. While in Kashmir, pellet guns are used to blind Kashmiri children, men were butchered, pregnant women were raped and killed and the most extreme act of all is the curfew in Kashmir valley which is continuing for over a year.
During this time India sought to mindlessly bully all its neighbors including Pakistan and China. India showed its true fascist nature by revoking Kashmir’s special status on August 5, 2019, and this was not acceptable to Pakistan and the people of Kashmir. Kashmir’s lockdown, the atrocities against its people, blockage of social and mainstream media were all signaling towards a major ethnic purge in Indian occupied Kashmir and Pakistan played its part to bring the true face of India in front of the world. India has been taking Pakistan’s peaceful gestures for granted but no more! Pakistan stands on high alert and the military is prepared to respond in kind to any misadventures from India. India believed that this was just an episode and would conclude in its favor then she was ruefully mistaken.
India is being criticized all over the world for its atrocities against the people of Kashmir and Indians have started to feel the pressure. It is said that ‘It is darkest just before the Dawn’ and this saying suits Kashmir’s situation perfectly. Indian atrocities have become unbearable and India has bit off more than it can chew.
The resistance of the Kashmiri people and pressure from China and Pakistan have increased considerably. Based on this it can be said that 2022 will be the year of Kashmir’s liberation. Pakistan has always stood with the people of Kashmir and has always acted as a responsible nuclear power but her patience is waning. Citizens of Pakistan stand ready with their brothers and sisters in Kashmir.
