Eight students of DHA Suffa University completed Internship Programme held at the Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS), Karachi, from 29 September to 28 October 2022.

At a ceremony held at CISSS to mark the completion of the Programme, Lt Gen Khalid Ahmed Kidwai (Retd), Advisor Development National Command Authority of Pakistan, awarded Internship Certificates to DHA Suffa University students Mahnoor Anis, Ahmed Khalid, Muhammad Haroon, Hafsa Afzal, Zainab Noor, Hiba Iman, Mohsin Nadeem and Syeda Marium Zaidi. He congratulated the students on successful completion of the first CISSS Internship Programme and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavors.  Executive Director CISSS Ambassador Qazi Khalilullah (Retd) and all members of Team CISSS were present on the occasion. These included global power competition, Jammu and Kashmir dispute, deterrence and strategic stability, rise of Hindutva and its implications on strategic stability in South Asia, arms control, disarmament, non-proliferation, climate change, emerging technologies, connectivity and development and role of nuclear and space technologies in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.   CISSS was established in 2021 as a non-profit, non-partisan, non-commercial and multidisciplinary research-oriented organisation. Its core mandate is to connect with the people of Sindh and promote Pakistan’s narrative on key issues of national interest. Outreach is a priority area of CISSS activities.  Since its inception, CISSS and DHA Suffa University have cooperated closely in multiple areas of mutual interest including hosting of joint conferences and seminars. DHA Suffa University has earned the distinction of being the first University to send its students to Internship Programme of CISSS.  CISSS hopes to continue its mutually beneficial cooperation with DHA Suffa University, and is also open to establishing similar cooperation with other Universities in Sindh.
